Introduction

This course is intended to provide a basic overview of USDA’s National School Lunch Program (NSLP). It will briefly touch on over-arching program requirements and the ways in which the program may be monitored.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

• Describe who is eligible to participate in the NSLP and its general requirements.
• Discuss the different programs that operate under the NSLP.
• Understand how the NSLP is monitored.
